What is DOWSIL 737 used for?

What does 'primerless adhesion' mean?
Primerless adhesion means 737 bonds to most materials with only good surface cleaning, without the need for a separate primer step. This simplifies the process and reduces the number of materials and operations required, saving time while still achieving reliable adhesion on many common substrates.
Why choose a neutral-cure sealant?
A neutral cure releases a milder by-product than acetoxy sealants (which give off a vinegar-like acetic acid), so 737 is gentler on sensitive metals and electronics. This allows it to be used across a broad range of materials with a lower risk of corrosion during and after curing.
How does 737 cure?
737 cures at room temperature on exposure to moisture in the air. Because atmospheric moisture drives the cure, cure speed and depth depend on humidity and section thickness; thicker or confined sections take longer to fully cure than thin, exposed beads. Ensure surfaces are clean for best adhesion.
Can 737 be used as a gasket material?
