What makes the 30,000 cSt grade different from lower-viscosity PMX-200 fluids?
It is a high-viscosity, thermally stable grade with far more body than thin, low-viscosity fluids. That heavier consistency supports foam control, protective coatings, leather finishing, and damping, whereas a thicker silicone provides greater gloss depth, film formation, and cushioning than lower-viscosity grades, which are used mainly for lubrication.
What is PMX-200 chemically?
PMX-200 is a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) polymer, manufactured to give essentially linear polymers at a defined viscosity. It is the same well-established silicone chemistry historically sold as Dow Corning 200 Fluid. This grade is 100% active and carries the INCI name Dimethicone, reflecting its pure silicone composition.
