- What it is. These latex-free sterile gloves are Ansell DermaShield 73-711, a green neoprene (polychloroprene) glove supplied sterile for aseptic and Class 100 (ISO 5) / Grade A cleanrooms. Each glove is 12 inches (300 mm) long, powder-free, and anatomically shaped with curved fingers and textured fingertips on the outside. LabPro sells seven sizes, from 6.0 to 9.0 in half-size steps, and every SKU is a case of 200 pairs. Ansell lists the glove as not antistatic.
- Why it matters. Type I reactions are tied to natural rubber latex proteins, while Type IV reactions are commonly tied to the accelerators used to cure rubber. Ansell states that the 73-711 is free of latex proteins and of chemical accelerators, which reduces wearer susceptibility to both. Sites that have moved away from latex but still see skin irritation can use these accelerator-free sterile neoprene gloves to remove both common triggers from the glove room.
- How it performs. Gamma irradiation at 25 kGy sterilizes every pair. Ansell reports a typical particle count below 3,500 per square centimeter at 0.5 µm and above, tested to IEST-RP-CC005.4, and a freedom-from-holes AQL of 0.65. Wall thickness targets are 0.16 mm at the palm, 0.20 mm at the fingers, and 0.15 mm at the cuff, and Ansell says the neoprene resists punctures and gives chemical splash protection. Ansell also states it was tested for use with chemotherapy drugs in accordance with ASTM D6978.
- Materials and packing. A beaded cuff with SureFit technology gives a more secure fit and prevents cuff roll-down, and the inside surface is polymer-coated with Ansell's DermaShield technology. Pairs are packed one per inner pack, with 200 pairs in each master bag and each carton. Ansell lists a five-year shelf life and Sri Lanka as the country of origin, and the packaging is recyclable polyethylene film inside recycled cardboard shippers.
Applications / Common Uses
- Transferring liquids. The neoprene wall provides chemical splash protection, making it suitable for moving liquids between vessels and containers.
- Cleanroom cleaning and preparing. The ISO 5 and Grade A rating lets one sterile glove serve both cleaning and preparation steps.
- Sample taking and processing. Accelerator-free, latex-free material limits allergy risk for staff who handle samples for whole shifts.
- Biotechnology and medical device manufacturing. Ansell lists both industries, where the powder-free, low-particle format helps protect the product.
- Laboratory research and development. Textured fingertips and a 0.20 mm finger wall help with gripping small tubes and tools.

Storage, Handling & Shipping
The gloves are supplied sterile and for single use. Ansell asks that cartons be kept away from direct sunlight, in a dry place, in the original packaging, and away from ozone sources. Properly stored, the gloves should not lose performance, and an expiry date is printed on the packaging where aging or storage could affect the product.
- Keep gloves in their original packaging until use, and rotate cartons so older stock goes first.
- Keep cartons away from ozone sources, as the data sheet advises.
- Read the expiry date on the packaging before opening a pair.
- Order by half size: each SKU holds 200 pairs of one size.
