FAQs
What is the PurMop EFB40-S used for?
The PurMop EFB40-S is a sterile, disposable cleanroom mop designed for high-performance surface cleaning and disinfection in controlled environments. The dual-action microfiber and scrub-stripe design enables efficient removal of particles, residues, and contaminants from floors and walls in cleanrooms, labs, and pharmaceutical facilities.
How is the PurMop EFB40-S designed for cleanroom use?
This mop is manufactured via gamma irradiation to achieve sterility (SAL 10⁻⁶) and is individually packaged for ISO 5 / GMP A–D environments. Low-lint construction and sealed edges help minimize particle shedding, supporting contamination control during critical operations.
What materials and construction features does the PurMop EFB40-S have?
The cleaning head consists of approximately 70% polyester microfiber and 30% polyester scrub stripes, layered over a 100% polyester nonwoven backing. This structure loosens tough residues and absorbs fluid efficiently, making it ideal for demanding cleaning protocols.
What level of absorbency and coverage does the PurMop EFB40-S offer?
The mop delivers high absorbency, typically over 440% (approx. 228 mL of fluid uptake), and can cover about 13–15 m² per mop under recommended use. This performance supports efficient cleaning with fewer replacements in large-area controlled environments.
How should the PurMop EFB40-S be used and disposed of?
It is designed for single-use only in cleanrooms and sterile zones. After use, it should be disposed of according to facility protocol to avoid cross-contamination. It can, however, be reused outside the cleanroom environment for non-critical areas.
