FAQs
What is Acetic Acid Cleanroom® LP, and what is it used for?
Acetic Acid Cleanroom® LP is a ready-to-use acetic-acid–based cleaner designed for hard, nonporous surfaces in controlled environments. It is commonly used on stainless steel, glass, vinyl, plastic, and other washable surfaces where low-residue, cleanroom-compatible cleaning is required.
Is this product safe for use on food-contact surfaces?
Yes. When used according to label instructions, Acetic Acid Cleanroom® LP is suitable for food-contact surfaces. Surfaces should be allowed the proper contact time and then rinsed or wiped as directed to ensure no residual acidity remains.
Which surfaces should I avoid using this cleaner on?
Because the product is acidic, it should not be used on natural stone (marble, granite), aluminum, uncoated metals, waxed surfaces, or any material known to be acid-sensitive. Testing on a small area is recommended before first use.
Is the solution truly ready to use, or does it require dilution?
The 1-gallon Acetic Acid Cleanroom® LP solution is fully ready to use—no dilution is required. It is formulated to provide consistent strength for cleanroom and controlled-environment cleaning tasks.
What safety precautions should I follow during use?
Use in well-ventilated areas and avoid breathing vapors. Wear gloves and eye protection when handling, especially during high-volume cleaning. Follow all label and SDS instructions, and rinse surfaces used for food preparation after treatment.
