FAQs
How do tacky mats work?
Tacky mats have an adhesive surface that grips dirt, dust, and debris from shoe soles and from cart and equipment wheels as they pass over the mat, trapping contaminants before they enter a clean area. They are placed at entrances as a first line of defense in a contamination-control program.
What do the numbered corners mean?
Each mat is made of multiple stacked adhesive sheets, and the corners are numbered to show how many layers remain. When the exposed sheet becomes soiled, you peel it off to reveal a fresh sheet underneath. The numbering lets you monitor usage so you can reorder before running out.
How many sheets and mats come in this configuration?
This configuration provides 30 peel-off sheets per mat and is sold four mats per case. Having several mats per case supports placement at multiple entry points or scheduled replacement in a single high-traffic doorway as sheets are used up during normal operation.
How should a tacky mat be placed?
Apply the mat to a clean, dry, smooth floor and position it across the direction of foot traffic so that anyone entering takes several steps on it. This maximizes contact and dirt removal. Make sure the mat does not interfere with door movement, and clean the floor before placement for good adhesion.
When should the top sheet be replaced?
Peel to a fresh layer as soon as the exposed sheet looks visibly soiled. A dirty sheet captures less, so timely replacement keeps the mat effective. The numbered corners help track how many sheets remain so replacement and reordering can be planned as part of routine facility maintenance.
