The hand pump operates on the positive pressure principle. The pump bulb creates an overpressure in the container that forces the liquid out. As a result, only the hose, pump head and outlet come into contact with the liquid to be filled. This provides optimum chemical resistance. All wetted parts of this hand pump are made of the high quality and inert materials PTFE and stainless steel, which have excellent chemical resistance. The Mini solvent pump is therefore particularly suitable for use with high-purity liquids and highly flammable media such as acetone, isopropanol, ethanol, methanol, etc.
For safety, a pressure relief valve protects the solvent pump from excessive pressure build-up, such as that caused by solar radiation.
The solvent pump can be used to dispense from a variety of container sizes. The flexible PTFE hose that pumps the liquid from the container can be shortened as needed. This allows for optimal residual emptying, even from bottles and canisters with curved bottoms.
The hand pump has a standard GL 45 connection thread, but can easily be adapted to containers with thread sizes S 40, GL 38 or GL 32 using thread adapters (accessories).
The self-closing outlet (auto-stop function) of the mini solvent pump enables
precise filling without dripping. Thanks to the easy dosage, even the smallest vessels, e.g. test tubes, can be filled without any problems. An optional hose (internal Ø 6 mm) can be attached to the discharge nozzle to safely fill more distant containers.
For filling in potentially explosive atmospheres, the supplied grounding cable can be easily connected to the solvent pump using a bundle plug, allowing electrostatic charges to be discharged and flammable media to be filled safely.
